How to use your confirmation code
Provide your Renew Active confirmation code to access your free gym membership at a participating gym or fitness location in your plan’s fitness network. You’ll also use your code to create an account with AARP® Staying Sharp® and join classes, clubs, events and more.
Frequently asked questions about the Renew Active fitness program for UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage members
Members eligible for the Renew Active fitness program can visit gyms and fitness locations available in their plan’s fitness network at no cost. This includes access to exercise equipment, classes and group activities, as well as thousands of on-demand workout videos and live streaming fitness classes.
Members may also stay focused with an online program offering content about brain health from AARP® Staying Sharp® and stay connected at local health and wellness classes, clubs and events.
Eligible members can find a gym or fitness location in their plan’s fitness network by signing in to the member site, going to Health & Wellness and then selecting Fitness. Scroll down to Browse Gyms and Activities and type in your ZIP code to search for a fitness location, class or activity. Gym network may vary in local market and plan.
If the gym or fitness location in your plan’s fitness network issues membership ID cards, you will receive a standard membership ID card for that gym or fitness location.
Access to any services or classes that a network gym or fitness location offers depends on the location. Some network gyms and fitness locations may offer extra services for an additional fee, such as personal training, fee-based group fitness classes, expanded access hours or other amenities beyond what is included through Renew Active. These extra services are not part of the Renew Active fitness program. If a member wishes to use these extra services, they are responsible for any associated costs. Contact the gym or fitness location directly for this pricing information.

Yes. Members eligible for Renew Active can use multiple gyms and fitness locations in their plan’s fitness network. Members may simply present their confirmation code at each gym or fitness location in their plan’s fitness network they want to use. To find a gym or fitness location in their plan’s fitness network, members can sign in to the member site, go to Health & Wellness and then select Fitness. Then, they can scroll down to Browse Gyms and Activities and type in their ZIP code to search for a fitness location, class or activity.
If an eligible member is already using a gym or fitness location in their plan’s fitness network, they can receive continued access at no cost. Members can simply bring their confirmation code to their gym or fitness location in their plan’s fitness network and have them switch to a Renew Active standard fitness membership.
