What is the UCard?
As a member of a UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan, you may have the easy-to-use UCard, which is your simple and secure benefit award card. Depending on your plan, you can use your UCard to access over-the-counter (OTC) products, earned rewards and CareFlex credits.

No, your new UCard is built to last. You’ll keep the same UCard for up to 3 years, as long as you remain a UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage member.

Shop with your OTC credits and rewards at over 70,000 participating stores nationwide, including Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar General, Target and neighborhood stores near you.

If eligible, use your benefit credit on your UCard to buy covered OTC products, like:
- Cold, flu and allergy
- Digestive health
- First aid
- Incontinence products
- Oral care
- Pain relief
- Smoking cessation
- Vitamins and minerals

Common non-covered items include: Alternative medicines, including probiotics, baby items, cosmetics, hair products, hygiene products, moisturizers, teeth whitening products, food and meal supplements, including weight loss products.

If you qualify, you may use your benefit credit on your UCard to help pay utility bills, like:
- Electric
- Heat
- Home phone
- Internet
- Natural gas
- Sanitation
- Sewer
- Water
However you choose to pay, make sure to have your UCard, government-issued ID and a copy of your utility bill handy.
Directly with your utility company – You can now use your UCard to pay utility bills directly with your utility company, as long as they accept Mastercard and are set up as an eligible utility provider.
Online – Use your UCard to help pay approved utility bills on the same site you shop for covered products. You can easily search for an eligible company within our Bill Pay network to pay for utility services on your member site or the UnitedHealthcare app.
In-store – Use your UCard to help pay approved utility bills at your local Walmart MoneyCenter. Payments must be submitted to billers within the Walmart Bill Pay network. Once bill pay is set up, you can simply use your phone number to look up an account with an existing utility company or add a new one and make a payment with your UCard.
If the payment from your UCard does not cover the full amount owed, you are responsible for paying any remaining balance due using another form of payment accepted by the utility company.
Use your earned rewards loaded on your UCard to buy eligible items. Approved categories include, but are not limited to: books, clothing, electronics, groceries, OTC products, sporting goods, toys, household items and more.
Rewards cannot be used to purchase Medicare-covered items or services, including medical or prescription drug out-of-pocket costs, or alcohol, tobacco or firearms.
