Medicaid

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Medicaid

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of North Carolina offers a range of benefits for children, families, pregnant women and adults, who qualify based on income. Choose your own doctor and get many extras that other plans don’t cover.

Dual Special Needs plans

Dual Special Needs plans (also known as Dual Health plans or D-SNPs) are for people who have both Medicaid and Medicare. D-SNPs cover most doctor visits, hospital stays and prescription prescriptions. They offer many extra benefits beyond those you get with either original Medicare or Medicaid.

Individual & Family ACA plans

UnitedHealthcare offers Individual & Family ACA plans in North Carolina. They’re designed to give you the coverage you need without breaking the bank.

Choose from plans in the Bronze, Silver and Gold metal levels. They each come with a variety of benefits, including reliable support from our customer service experts.

To receive NC Medicaid, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or have an eligible immigration status
  • Live in North Carolina
  • Have a Social Security number or show you have applied, if you are eligible for one
