Learn more about the programs and services offered by UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and Washington Apple Health Expansion to help members live a healthier life.

Value-added benefits

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Washington Value-Added Benefits (VABs) give you more options for your care and well-being. VABs are voluntary and are at no cost to you.

Apple Health Expansion also offers additional convenient programs and services that make it easier to stay healthy.

Member rewards

Earn up to $200 per year in gift card rewards for completing important preventive services. Eligible members will be notified by mail or email.

Car seat

  • Meets all applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards.
  • Choose between two car seat models per newborn.
  • Order the car seat no later than 12 months from the date of birth.

Babyscripts™

  • Sign up with Babyscripts for pregnancy support, health information, appointment reminders and gift card rewards
    • Enroll in Babyscripts ($75)
    • Attend one prenatal appointment ($50)
    • Attend postpartum appointment ($25)
  • Download the Babyscripts myJourney app to get started

  • People with high-risk pregnancies may get home-delivered meals for a two-week period after delivery

  • Join Healthy First Steps to stay healthy and decrease the stress of managing your health during this unique time

  • Connect with other moms for support during your pregnancy and beyond
  • Visit Wellhop
  • Doulas are non-clinical birth workers who support you through planning for delivery and parenthood
  • They provide emotional and physical support during labor, and offer breastfeeding and other support after delivery
  • Working with a doula increases your chances of having a smooth birth experience where both you and baby are safe and healthy
  • You are eligible to work with a doula through Medicaid. To find a covered doula, use the Find a Provider tool.

  • You are eligible for a free breast pump. You can visit Edgepark or call 1-855-504-2099. Please order the week before your due date or after you deliver.
  • For a healthy start for you and your baby, ask your provider for a prescription for prenatal vitamins. Your pharmacy can ensure you receive prenatal vitamins that are covered at no cost to you.
  • Personal, one-on-one coaching support
  • Free 8-week supply of nicotine replacement therapy (patch or gum)
  • Bupropion/Chantix decision support (prescription required)

  • Members transitioning out of jail/detention may receive care coordination services and a duffel bag containing essentials upon leaving an incarcerated setting
  • Call Member Services at 1-877-542-8997 to be referred to your assigned case manager
  • 90-day fill for most chronic conditions
  • Prescriptions can be mailed to a member’s home through Optum Rx® or filled at your local pharmacy
  • Ask your provider if a 90-day fill is an option for you
